Dr. Malaisamy received her medical degree from Madras Medical College in India. She went on to pursue pediatric training in England and has worked in several tertiary National Health Service (NHS) Hospitals such as Homerton University hospital and North Middlesex University hospital in London. She then came to the USA and completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. Dr Malaisamy has experience in General Pediatrics, Neonatal Intensive Care and Community Pediatric Medicine both from the USA and UK. Dr. Malaisamy has previously worked for the Virginia Tech Carillion School of Medicine where she was an active faculty member taking care of children and teaching medical students and residents in training. In 2006, she received recognition for Best Teaching to Medical Students by the Chair of the Children's Hospital of Michigan's Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Malaisamy is board certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics in the USA and also has the prestigious MRCPCH (Membership of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health) from UK. She was involved in volunteer work providing free medical service like blood bank camps, immunization camps and free eye checkups in rural areas of India.

Dr. Malaisamy constantly strives to keep updated on the new developments in pediatric medicine and regularly attends pediatric CME (Continuing Medical Education) courses. She enjoys Indian music, traveling, and cooking. She currently resides in Suffolk with her husband and two sons.
