David Dorbad MD, FAAP
Dr. Dorbad joined Renaissance Pediatrics in 2005. He grew up in Medford, New Jersey. He moved to Virginia to attend University of Virginia and graduated with a degree in Physics.
While in college, he was a Resident Assistant for younger classmates, and he volunteered extensively with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. He went on to attend medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School. During his medical education, he worked with Donald Lewis, MD in develpment of a pediatric migraine headache practice parameter. He also worked for Princeton Review, teaching college students how to excel at the Medical College Admissions Test.
After medical school he completed his pediatrics training at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in 2005. In 2011, Dr. Dorbad completed his Masters in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary.
In his free time, Dr. Dorbad enjoys carpentry, baking, gardening, travel, biking and music.
His clinical focus includes preventative medicine, asthma care, headaches, behavioral medicine, and newborn care. He is a board member of PFLAG of Hampton Roads and is experienced in transgender health.
