Jennifer McMurrayJennifer McMurray

I was born in August of 1952 in Columbus, Ohio. Therefore I am a Buckeye at heart and true football fan of The Ohio State University. I received a diploma in nursing Riverside White Cross School of Nursing. I worked in pediatrics at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus until I married a Navy man and began by trek across the eastern United States, eventually settling in Norfolk.

While in Norfolk I worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at CHKD for 15 years and continued my education. I earned a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certificate from Georgetown University; received a bachelors of science in Nursing from the University of New York; a Masters in Perinatal Nursing from Old Dominion University; a post-graduate certificate as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Old Dominion and Norfolk State University; and my Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Old Dominion University (in 2010). I served as the coordinator for the Eastern Virginia Perinatal Council and provided educational offerings to outlying hospitals concerning care of premature infants.

I joined Renaissance Pediatrics in 1998 and became a partner in 2003. I am a proud volunteer for the March of Dimes and serve as the Program Service Chair for the Greater Hampton Roads Chapter. In 2011 I became the State Prematurity Chair for the March of Dimes.

I now live in Suffolk and have one son, Trevor McMurray, and five grandchildren. I enjoy spending as much time as possible with them. In my spare time I enjoy church activities, reading, scrapbooking, and crafts of all kinds.

My greatest love is children and I am dedicated to the health and well being of all children.
